The discovery of Happy Electron’s state-of-the-art carbon material opens up new possibilities of producing high-performance Li-ion batteries offering ultra-fast charging, higher energy density and prolonged battery life. Their research and production facility creates the clean technical space they need for product development. An open and flexible laboratory space has easy and ergonomic access to equipment, including workbenches, gloveboxes, flammable liquid cabinet, climate chambers and glass drying cabinets. A separate battery testing area offers a clean space for product analysis.

At the first floor level, an open plan office area, with  bespoke furniture is the hub of the organisation. A feature walk-on light feature in the centre of the space divides the office, leading to a suite of private meeting rooms. On the ground floor, a large double height meeting space adjacent to the staff kitchen can be used for formal meetings and everyday activities. A geometric hanging light adds a striking aesthetic to the design of this space.
