Gravel Lane Gym

The gym is located in the heart of Barbican on the ground and basement levels of a suitably brutalist building.

The client and the coach developed his brand around personal training, with a small budget to spare on the refurbishment.

To express the blue and white brand identity in a powerful and energetic way, capable of standing up to the context and the daily use, memorable and enticing, we reversed the usual balance of colours, and, instead of hiding, exposed, embraced and emphasised all building services.
